It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we announce the 1st Mediation Forum, to be held in Braga, at the D. Diogo de Sousa Museum, on 14 and 15 November 2025.

​

This Forum will provide a space for dialogue, reflection and collective action to promote a culture of peace and mediation, helping to spread awareness of these concepts and bring them closer to society.

​

We live in a society marked by constant change, in which conflicts – inevitable in human coexistence – demand increasingly humanised, effective and sustainable approaches. In this context, mediation emerges as a fundamental methodology for developing healthier relationships, based on respect, active listening and shared responsibility.

​

The 1st Mediation Forum aims to bring together professionals, academics, students and those interested in the subject to exchange experiences, disseminate best practice and broaden knowledge of mediation in various settings: community, school, family, intercultural and organisational, amongst others.

​

The programme includes a National Mediation Exhibition featuring various organisations promoting mediation, presentations of work in different formats (PechaKucha, posters, videos, storytelling, pitches), a seminar, M-talks and mediation simulations.

 

The main objectives are:

i) to provide a forum for raising awareness of mediation, networking and collaborative practices;

ii) to foster critical thinking;

iii) to contribute to the consolidation of mediation as a transformative practice in the daily lives of institutions and individuals.

Welcome to this space for collaborative development. May this Forum be a fertile ground for learning, sharing and inspiration, so that we may continue to build a fairer, more empathetic and peaceful society.
